We make sure all our new patients feel welcome, safe, and taken care of from the moment you enter our office. For our first few visits, we schedule plenty of time to chat about our concerns so that we understand how best to help you achieve your smile goals. We want you to feel at home in our office, and part of the Kirk Orthodontics family!

We ask that you complete your New Patient Form for Children or Adults before your first appointment so that we can start learning more about you and your smile.

You're in great hands.

Your Consultation

Every smile starts with an initial consultation appointment with Dr. Kirk. You'll get to meet our team, tour our clinic, learn about our practice philosophies, and learn more about orthodontics. We'll also be taking a set of photos of the teeth. Following a thorough clinical examination, we will review what to expect in terms of treatment options, cost, and length.

If treatment is recommended, diagnostic records are the next step. If you child is not ready to start treatment but future issues are likely, we may wish to see them periodically for recall visits, in order to determine the ideal time to start orthodontic care.

Our private and comfortable consultation room is where you'll meet with Dr. Kirk and our treatment coordinator.

Diagnostic Records

It's important that we gather the detailed information required to more closely analyze you or your child's case so that all factors are considered in creating your most appropriate treatment options. Panoramic and lateral cephalogram digital X-ray images are taken to allow your orthodontist to more carefully examine the unique relationships of your jaws and teeth. We will also create digital study models required to closely analyze your bite. In many cases, these records can be taken immediately following the initial consultation.

Our high-quality digital X-ray images are taken right in office.

Case Presentation

After a complete analysis of your records, Dr. Kirk will explain orthodontic issues found, all recommended treatment options, and the risks and benefits associated with each option. We will explain the sequence of appointments required to get started and answer any further questions that you may have about your the process.
